Hot Tub Spa Pads

Although Sundance Spa hot tubs have enclosed bottoms and can essentially be placed on any surface, it is recommended that they be put on a pad to add support, plus to reduce the tracking of dirt and stones into the spa.
There are many types of materials that can be used to make a pad such as concrete, interlocking stones, wood decks, and patio stones.
A newer alternative is plastic panels that are rigid and durable and can be put together to create a solid spa pad.
The benefits of plastic spa pads are that they are:
- strong and durable
- easy to work with and install
- portable; so they can be moved from spot to spot or house to house
- less costly than concrete or paving stones
- require less labour to install
Plastic spa pads come in a few neutral colours to match backyard colour schemes, and generally cost in the $450 to $650 price range depending on size. Plus in most cases, no ground preparation is required. You just need level ground to place them down on, and the hot tub goes on top.
